YH Magazine Meets Valmar

Throughout the next few months, we will introduce you to YH's staff. This month, we would like to introduce you to Valmar, our new addition to the photography team.

Valmar is a spunky 23-year-old college student. She is currently a freshman, majoring in photography at Pier College of Art.

On the side she does occasional modeling and runway shows. In the future she would love to work as an editorial photographer or as a photojournalist for National Geographic Magazine. She’s very driven which allows her to excel and achieve her goals. Valmar loves to travel, see the world and experience different cultures. She recently took a leisure trip to Japan and then studied art in Italy for six weeks over the summer. Family is very important to her. Her four-year-old son, Yandel, is her pride and joy.

She also often travels to Puerto Rico to visit her relatives. In her spare time she likes to hang out with her friends and go dancing, to the beach, get dinner, especially steak and sushi. Her friends say that she’s always up for anything due to her fun loving spontaneous personality. She’s a very caring person and her friends state that she’s always there for them when they need her. She’s a blast to hang out with due to her great sense of humor and care free mentality. Valmar expresses her emotions easily and gets along with just about everyone. She’s one of those people that make new friends every time she goes out.
